We, the Toilet Liberation Front (T.L.F.) hereby pledge to challenge & deny the evil fallacy of the Binary Gender System (B.G.S.).

Dear reader,

there are people (“it could be you”!) who freeze when faced with the choice of using either a female or a male “convenience”.

When you need to relieve yourself it’s the last time you want to be philosophising about identity politics, or running from the person beating you up.

This (the T.L.F. & our activism) is for all those who have felt threatened, confused, embarrassed, afraid or just plain PISSED OFF ‘cos (the B.G.S.) “society” doesn’t recognize the real gender truth.

Not all of us can or want to assimilate seamlessly into either male or female categories; none of us should have to.

Approximately 1 in 2,000 newborn babies have ambiguous genitalia (are born intersex); the number of transsexuals, transvestites & other gender-queers is even higher. Still our society sees fit to ignore our needs when it comes to the most basic of human rights, going to the toilet.

The Toilet Liberation Front (T.L.F.) was formed on April fool’s day at the London Lesbian & Gay film festival in order to highlight & fight for the cause of a very powerful minority, powerful ‘cos they’re pissed off!
